Carrollton Branding Photographer: I did a branding session last week for Katie at Gallery Row Coffee here in Carrollton! It was so much fun!
You may note a slight change in my photography style that I consider an improvement. After much deliberation, I am still shooting mainly digital. However, I am now emulating the film look of Portra 800 that I use when shooting with my Yashica.
What does this new process mean for new and existing clients? Not too much. You’ll still receive high resolution print ready digital files with print and social media rights. I’ve tested the files through professional printers and remain satisfied with the image quality.
Occasionally I may still arrive to shoots with my film camera in hand. If I snap a few shots on actual film, I can’t guarantee those frames will be included in your final gallery. But I do my best to provide any stellar film images captured.

With this new digital process balanced to mimic film, I’m pleased with the lighting output whether we shoot indoors or outdoors. The images have a timeless quality I adore. This aesthetic allows me to capture the beauty of fleeting moments while still providing the convenience of digital photography.
I look forward to booking sessions with those eager to see my updated approach! My calendar still has availability this year for portrait sessions plus weddings.
Some key advantages my clients enjoy from this process:
- Warm, natural color tones reminiscent of film
- Soft, organic mood with natural light prioritized
- Textured matte finish when printed
- Artistic, genuine style perfect for heirloom albums
The best part is maintaining creative control from start to finish. I craft images tailored to my artistic vision versus algorithms. My goal is photographs infused with soul and visual storytelling.
Portraiture and wedding photography represent so much more than documenting milestones. These images will be passed down through generations. That heritage deserves an artistic approach that stands the test of time.
I’d love to hear your thoughts and book your upcoming session! Let’s make timeless heirlooms celebrating your memories.
