This Privacy Policy describes how Caroline Price Luxe, LLC (the “Photographer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects the information gathered when you visit carolineprice.com (the “Blog”) and inquire about or purchase our photography services (the “Services”).

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information based on two primary categories of engagement: Engagement Data (Blog Visitors) and Commercial Data (Clients).

  • Engagement Data: This includes your Name, Email Address, and the content of your comment/contact form inquiry. Additionally, we automatically collect passive data like your IP Address, browser type, operating system, and pages visited via cookies and tracking services.
  • Commercial Data: This information is collected specifically from clients during the business process. This includes your Full Legal Name, Mailing Address, Phone Number, Contract Details, Payment Transaction Data(excluding full credit card numbers), and Tax ID (if applicable). This data is voluntarily provided during the Inquiry, Contract Signing, and Payment Processing stages.

2. DISCLOSURES AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

We use third-party services for essential Blog functions and commercial services. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies.

  • Analytics and Traffic Monitoring: We use Google Analytics to measure site performance, understand client flow, and improve our Service Fulfillment. This data includes IP address, device information, and pages viewed, and is processed by Google in accordance with its privacy policy.
  • Subscriptions and Email Management: We use Jetpack (operated by Automattic) to manage our email subscription features. When you subscribe, Jetpack collects your Email Address solely to send you email notifications of new blog posts and announcements.
  • Affiliate Links Disclosure (Amazon Associates): Our blog contains affiliate links. These third-party sites use cookies to track and attribute sales.
  • Commercial Service Providers: We rely on several services for our high-value commercial functions:
    • Payment Processing: We use Stripe to process client payments. Stripe collects and processes Name, Payment Transaction Data, and Billing Address. We do not store your full credit card details.
    • Client Galleries: ShootProof is used to deliver purchased photographic products, including your image files, and manage online proofing.
    • Contracts & Forms: ShootProof is used to collect legal signatures on client agreements, including Full Legal Name, Email, and Digital Signature.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION (PURPOSE)

In addition to sending you blog posts and improving our site, we use your data for the following essential commercial purposes:

  • Service Fulfillment: To reserve dates, schedule sessions, deliver purchased physical products (metal prints), and manage the online gallery.
  • Contract Enforcement: To enforce the terms of the signed portrait contract, including collecting payment and managing disputes.
  • Legal Compliance: To meet tax and accounting record-keeping requirements. We retain contract and financial data for a minimum of seven (7) years for tax substantiation purposes.
  • Marketing: To promote the Caroline Price Luxe brand, which includes using images under the terms of the signed Model Release.

4. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS AND CHOICES

Depending on where you live (such as California or the European Union), you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • You have the Right to Access the personal data we hold about you and the Right to Deletion of the personal data we have collected.
  • NOTE: We are legally required to retain commercial data (contracts, invoices, transaction history) for a minimum of seven (7) years for tax and accounting compliance and cannot delete that specific data upon request.
  • You can also opt out of receiving marketing emails or non-essential tracking cookies.
